Honest, Timeless.

Designing spaces and objects

inspired by nature, nostalgia, and

the India we grew up in.

Why we call it Barsati Living

Traditionally, a Barsati was just a small room on a rooftop, a common sight across Delhi.

It was the place where families headed for chai in the cool evening breeze, watch the sunset, or wait for the monsoon barsaat (rain).

For many, a Barsati was their first real home. Often rented out to artists, writers, and dreamers, it was where they found their first taste of independence.

It wasn't fancy, but it was yours (Imagine The Beatles playing in the background).

It was a space that didn't try too hard...simple, private, and free.

What makes a Barsati way more special is how it blurs the line between inside and out - where the walls of the room would end and the sky begins, keeping you connected to the sun, the wind, and the trees.

That is exactly what we do at Barsati Living. We design sanctuaries - spaces that feel honest, soulful, and carry the warmth of the good old days.
